Sharp jump of 23 position

India ranked 77th in ease of doing business index released by World Bank. Sharp jump of 23 spots have silenced the critics. This is first time India topped south Asia and was third among BRICS.

New Zealand ranks first among overall ranking , Singapore and Denmark were second and third in overall ranking respectively.

The biggest gain was in construction permit where India climbed 129 ranks to 52nd place on the back of targeted government effort to remove hurdles.

India ranked 24th in getting electricity.

Ludhiana ranked first among Indian cities.

India ranked 116th in 2006, 25 position behind China. Rank was increased to 132 in 2011 under eminent economist Shri Manmohan Singh. India's rank further deteriorated to 142 when Modi took over.

This is a pride moment for all of us and for NDA government. This will have huge impact on upcoming Lok Sabha election to be held in 2019

It is worth noting that under an ‘economist’ PM, Dr. Manmohan Singh, India’s #EaseOfDoingBusiness rankings plummeted from 132 to 142 between 2011 and 2014! Corruption, cronyism and policy paralysis of the UPA adversely impacted the nation.
